How long does it take to get approved?

Applying takes minutes and you’ll get a decision instantly!

Can I buy more than one product?

Yes!  You can buy as many products as your lease amount allows.  Example: If you are approved for $2,000, you can buy four $500 items for a total of $2000.

What financing companies does Approovl use?

Currently, our only financing partner is Acima, but we are working hard to secure new financing partnerships! 

Am I making payments to Acima or Approovl?

Every transaction is made directly to Acima.  This includes the initial payment, if applicable and all lease renewal payments.  If you have any questions regarding payments, contact Acima at (801) 297-1982 or here at www.acima.com

How do I create an Approovl account?

You can create an Approovl account buy using your email. Keeping it secure and seamless.

You can reset your Approovl password by verifying an email you've received on your provided email. 

SHIPPING & RETURN

When Will My Order Ship?

Once an order is processed, it will ship within 1 business day.

How long does shipping take?

Generally, it takes 3-5 business days for standard shipping. 

Where can I see my tracking info?

Stay updated! We're working on integrating a system where you'll be able to track your order's progress directly from your Approovl account or confirmation email. 

Will you notify me when my package is being delivered?

Soon, we'll implement advanced tracking tools to notify you via email and text when your product is out for delivery and once delivered, keeping you informed every step of the way.

What if my product arrives damaged?

You have 24 hours from delivery to report any damage to your products.  If a product does arrive damaged contact support@approovl.com immediately.  Please be sure to add your name and order/account number in the email as reference.

What if tracking says its delivered but it’s not here?

You have 24 hours from when tracking says your product was delivered to notify support@approovl.com of a non-delivery.  If you fail to report a non-delivery within 24 hours, we may not be able to file a shipping claim on your behalf.

Where Do Products Ship From?

Our products are shipped from one of Best Buy’s 1000+ retail locations nationwide, ensuring reliability and widespread availability.

What states do you ship to?

We ship to the lower 48 states.  We do not ship to Alaska and Hawaii; and, due to state laws, we cannot ship to Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont and Wisconsin.

Can I Cancel My Order?

Once an order has been processed it cannot be cancelled.  You can however return your product and cancel the lease by contacting Acima at (801) 297-1982 or www.acima.com.

Can I return my product(s)?

You can return your product(s) and cancel your lease any time.  Contact Acima at (801) 297-1982 or www.acima.com for information on how to return your products.

ABOUT LEASING

What is Acima?

Acima is an alternative way to shop for the name-brand items you want, at the stores you want, without paying cash or relying on credit. After completing an easy application process, you’ll receive an instant approval decision. If approved, begin a lease agreement that will allow you to get your merchandise right away for a low initial payment, then make rental payments until you obtain ownership.  You can view their website here www.acima.com.

Who owns the merchandise I’m leasing? Acima or Approovl?

Acima owns the merchandise until you’re ready to own it. After you sign the lease agreement, Acima purchases the merchandise you picked out from Approovl and leases it to you until you obtain ownership or terminate the lease.

When can I own my product(s)?

If you prefer predictable payments and the flexibility of the lease, you can own it after making all lease renewal payments. If you’re ready sooner, you can purchase early as described in the agreement and save over the total cost of the lease. If you wish to stop making renewal payments before obtaining ownership, you can return your merchandise at any time.

How is leasing different from a credit transaction?

In a credit transaction, a financial institution extends funds to you or to another on your behalf, which you can then use for a purchase. If you make a purchase on credit, you borrow the money and then make payments back to the creditor, which include finance charges such as interest.

On the other hand, when you enter into a lease agreement, you agree to lease merchandise from Acima.  Acima then purchases the merchandise you select from a participating merchant. We don’t extend funds to you or on your behalf. You make lease renewal payments to Acima while using the merchandise, and you can use a purchase option to own the property, or terminate the lease at any time, without penalty. There is no interest, but you make lease payments based on the value of the merchandise and the cost of lease services. Acquiring ownership by leasing costs more than the retailer's cash price.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Do I need good credit to apply and be approved?

No Credit needed!  While Acima may receive your consumer report and credit score, they look at multiple data points to make a final decision, and they regularly approve customers who have less than perfect credit history. All you need to do to get started is provide some personal information, banking account numbers, and meet some basic income requirements.

What do I need to apply?
  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Have an active checking account with at least $750 of income per month
  • Have at least three months of income history with your current source of income
  • Have a government-issued photo ID, and a social security number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)

If you’ve got all those things, great! Fill out the application and we’ll let you know within seconds if you’re approved!

How much can I get approved for by Acima?

You can be approved for up to $4,000.

Do we change an application fee?

Nope! It's free to apply.  If you get approved and complete a purchase, there may be an Initial Payment, which goes toward the purchase of your products.

Can I list multiple sources of income on my application?

Acima doesn’t require specific income information on the application, such as an employer name or address. They will ask what your primary source of income is (e.g., full-time job), how you’re paid, and what your total monthly income is. You’re welcome to include all sources of income in the monthly total!

Will the application process impact my credit score?

Your credit score with the national credit reporting agencies (TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax) should not be impacted by applying for a lease through Acima. Their application process, however, does include a review of your consumer report, and depending on the consumer reporting agency, the inquiry may appear on your consumer report. Acima uses a soft pull when it accesses your consumer report from any of the national credit reporting agencies (TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax).

Does acima get to see my credit score?

It is possible that Acima see’s your credit score as part of their review of your consumer report. However, they don’t base their approval decision on just your credit score by itself. They use proprietary technology to look at the bigger picture, and they approve many customers who have less than perfect credit history.



What’s the difference between a “soft” and “Hard” pull on my credit report?

A “soft” pull of your consumer report is an option available from the national consumer reporting agencies (TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax). On a “soft” pull, the inquiry from Acima is only visible to you personally, and only if you request a copy of the consumer report from one of the national consumer reporting agencies. This is important because other users of your consumer report may consider inquiries as a negative factor in creating a credit score or in making a decision based on your consumer report.

Secondary consumer reporting agencies do not provide this same “soft” pull option, and our review of your consumer report from these agencies may be shown as an inquiry. However, these inquiries should not negatively impact your consumer report or credit score at the national consumer reporting agencies.

How long does my lease approval last?

Once you’re approved for a lease, the approval lasts for 45 days! If you don’t use it in that timeframe, the approval simply expires.

I got denied, can you tell me why?

Customers are emailed an adverse action notice with 30 days of the denial, which provides the reason for Acima's determination. Customers may also contact Acima’s processing department at 801-297-1980 with questions about the application.

LEASE AGREEMENTS

How long is this lease agreement?

The period to ownership varies based on the item(s) you choose. If you elect to make all renewal payments you will own the merchandise in 12, 18, or 24 months, based on the lease agreement you are offered.

You also have the option to obtain ownership early. When you’re ready, you can end the lease with early purchase options described in your agreement. These options allow you to save significantly compared to the total cost of the lease. When you choose to own is up to you!

How is my lease total amount calculated?
  • Your total lease amount is calculated based on the Acima Cash Price of the merchandise and the cost of the lease services. Please keep in mind that most states require sales tax to be paid on rental payments, meaning sales tax will be applied to all payments. If you make all lease renewal payments, you will pay approximately double the original invoice price of the property.

Where can I get access of my Lease Purchase Agreement?

You’ll have the opportunity to review your lease agreement during the application process by signing into the mobile app or your online account(https://ecom.acima.com). If you’re shopping in-store and don’t have a smartphone, you can request the store print a physical copy for you to read and sign.

What are the purchase options for my lease?

You can purchase the merchandise at any time after you receive it. Acima offers a 90-day early purchase option (3-month purchase option in California), which begins on the date you receive your merchandise and expires 90 days (3 months in California) later. This option lets you purchase the merchandise for the Acima Cash Price and a small purchase fee, which varies state-to-state, but is typically $25. The Acima Cash Price includes a markup over the merchant invoice price.

After the 90 days (3 months), you can purchase the merchandise by paying a lump sum percentage amount of whatever your remaining total lease amount is at that time. The percentage varies by state but is generally 65% of your remaining total lease amount. This lets you purchase the property before the end of the 12, 18, or 24 months of lease renewal payments at a discount.

You can also elect to make all lease renewal payments for your merchandise, and you will own the merchandise! Please keep in mind that failed or late payments may accrue fees, so see your lease agreement for a full breakdown of fees. If you elect not to purchase the merchandise through one of these options, you may terminate the lease at any time without penalty.

You are not automatically enrolled in an early purchase option at lease inception. To purchase early or exercise a 90-day purchase option, call or chat with our helpful customer service department.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

What is the “Initial Payment?”

The initial payment is your first payment towards your lease! It is deducted from your total lease amount and is required to be made before you receive the merchandise. This amount can vary but is generally between $0 to $80.

How much are my payments?

Your renewal payments are based on the value of the merchandise you select and the cost of lease services. Once you pick out the merchandise, Acima will create a lease agreement based on the value of the leasable items. You can review your renewal payment amounts and renewal frequency prior to signing the lease agreement.

How often do I need to make my payments?

The due dates of your renewal payments are based on the pay dates you enter on your application. After you make your first renewal payment, you’re able to change your payment frequency if needed. Your regularly scheduled renewal payments will not purchase the property in 90 days. Call or chat Acima’s helpful customer service (here Insert link to acima) to exercise a 90-day purchase option.

How do I make payments?

Most lease renewal payments are made automatically by ACH, which automatically processes from your bank account. You can also use a credit, debit card or most pre-paid cards to make payments and have those payments set up to process automatically as well.  Acima accepts Mastercard, Visa and Discover.

Alternatively, you can make payments in Acima’s mobile app, logging into your Acima online account, or over the phone by calling Acima’s customer service at (801) 297-1982.

What if I need to change the date that my payments process? 

Contact Acima at least four business days before your payment is set to process, and they will help you out! This goes for any payments, whether it’s an automatic payment, a one-time payment, or even a final purchase payment—Keep in mind they always need notice of at least four business days. Once your payment starts processing, they will be unable to make any changes to it.

Will I receive billing statements?

Acima does not automatically send billing statements either by email or physical mail. You can check your current purchase amount at any time by signing into Acima’s mobile app or your online account(link to customer login). You can also contact Acima’s customer service department at (801) 297-1982 for current information about your lease.

Who do I contact if I have questions about my lease?

Acima’s customer service department can be reached at (801) 297-1982, Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm MT and Saturday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm MT.

Acima also has an online chat option, which can be accessed through their website Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm MT and Saturday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm MT.

Can I return the merchandise?

Yes! If you’d like to return the property, please give Acima’s customer service department a call at (801) 297-1982 and they will work with you to find the best option.

Can I cancel my lease agreement?

You may cancel your lease at any time, without penalty. If you wish to do so, you must firs contact Acima’s customer service department at (801) 297-1982. They will send you an email with instructions on how to complete the cancellation.
